Elfin lakes Vancouver Canada BeWild! Adventures

A moderate fitness level is required and some hiking experience is advisable. You should be able to walk up to 22kms (13.6 miles) without difficulty.

The toughest part about this hike is the distance. What we love is that only the first five or so kilometers are a climb, and it is fairly gradual compared to other trails. From that point on it is rolling open landscape, so don’t forget that hat and sunglasses.

The first part of the trail you will work your way up a forest trail of switchbacks before it opens into more of a grassy mountainside meadow. The views from here are spectacular. We dare you not to say “WOW” when you reach a ridge looking out to Mount Garibaldi and Atwell Peak.

Once at the lakes enjoy your well earned packed lunch and if you’re so bold, take a dip in the swimming lake!

Take a deep breath, disconnect from the hectic reality of life, and let our certified hiking guide help you feel totally refreshed!
